Finally, the new Pat Conroy novel, South of Broad has been released. He's my all time favorite author and its hard to believe that its been sixteen years since his last book, Beach Music. I can't wait to go hear him speak on Tuesday night at the Alabama Booksmith. The event includes a signed copy of South of Broad. Correction: the even is not at the Alabama Booksmith, it is being held at the Doubletree hotel

I saw him speak years ago (I think I was just out of college) @ the Hoover Library. He was receiving an award. He's AWESOME. I got to meet him and was thrilled (me not him). I may look into this event too...
I bet that was around the release of Beach Music- 16 years ago! Can you believe how time flies?
