I discovered a new gift shop that I just love. The shop at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is now privately owned and operated by Leaf and Petal. This may have transpired a while ago, but I just visited the shop for the first time, so its new to me. It has a fabulous selection of books, candles, toys, home decor, jewelry, garden accessories, etc. This will be my first stop when I need to pick up a quick gift for someone. Also a great place to take out of town guests. Shop a little, pick up a box lunch at the cafe run by Cathy G, and then stroll around the gardens to find the perfect place for a picnic. This has proven fun to do with the kids too. A little something for everyone. Now if they would just spruce up that gift shop at the zoo too....
