Southern My Way

I first saw the Southern My Way cookbook at the Country Living Fair, where Gena Knox was signing and selling her new book. Turns out she is from Reynolds Georgia, a town very near Ft. Valley, where my husband Charlie is from. Quite a coincidence since these are really small towns in middle Georgia. Her book caught my attention with its beautiful food and farm photography and recipes for traditional, Southern food that Gena has made more contemporary, easy and light.  I didn't buy the book at the time, but should've because I've been thinking about it ever since.  Lucky for me, it is available from her website, which also includes recipes and great writing about favorite Southern artisans.  Love her.
