Last night, Mary Slayden attended an orientation for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which is the children's religious formation at our church. It is based on Montessori teaching principles, which I'm not very knowledgable about, so it was interesting for me to learn about the program, see the atrium and the materials used. It is a fabulous program and one of the reasons we chose our church. We always said that when she was old enough to start Sunday school we would make more of an effort to get to church every Sunday. Time flies. It will be interesting to see how Mary Slayden does with this learning style.
